The event closely and critically looked at the needs and expectations of the non-state actors from the partner countries. Experience and good practice were presented and shared by some successful actors from the V4 region and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The workshop also offered an interactive opportunity to discuss the context of grants for EU external actions and the (new) EU development funding programs and instruments.
Several important questions were raised and discussed in detail, for example: what is the context of cooperation between the actors (state and non-state) from V4 and SSA countries? What are the expectations of the two sides about the EU comprehensive strategy with Africa from a development perspective?
The second workshop was hosted by the University of Pécs (Africa Research Centre and International Centre) on 12th January 2023.
